Enriched Parboiled Long Grain Rice [Rice, Niacin, Iron (Ferric Orthophosphate), Thiamine (Thiamine Mononitrate), Folic Acid.
Directions
Conventional Method: 1. Bring water to a boil. Add olive oil and salt (optional). 2. Stir in rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. Let stand covered 5 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork. Serve. Microwave Method: 1. Combine rice and water in a microwavable glass dish. Add olive oil and salt (optional). 2. Cover and cook on high heat using times below: 2 Serving: 5 minutes. 4 Servings: 8 minutes. 6 Servings: 10 minutes. 12 Servings: 15 minutes. 3. Reduce to medium heat for 20 minutes. 4. Remove from microwave. Let stand covered 5 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork. Serve. For Best Results: For firmer rice, use less water and simmer for a shorter time. For softer rice, use more water and simmer for a longer time. 2 Servings (Cups of Cooked Rice): 1/2 cups rice; 1-1/3 cups water; 1/4 teaspoons salt; 1 tsp olive oil. 4 Servings (Cups of Cooked Rice): 1 cup rice; 2-1/4 cups water; 1/2 teaspoons salt; 2 tsp olive oil. 6 Servings (Cups of Cooked Rice): 1-1/2 cups rice; 3-1/3 cups water; 3/4 teaspoons salt; 1 tbsp olive oil.
